With over sixteen picture and poetry books published, she has won the British Columbia Book Prize silver medal, for both Jeffrey and Sloth and On My Walk, and been nominated numerous times for the Christie Harris Illustrated Children's Literature Prize and the Chocolate Lily Awards. She loves being in the classroom and teaches drama in education at Brock University. Kari-Lynn lives in St. Catharines, Ontario.

HELEN FLOOK grew up in the beautiful countryside of Wales, but spent 10 years in Canada with her husband and son, where they learned all about hockey, real winters and what it was like to live somewhere completely different. She has since moved back to Wales and she lives and works from a beautiful village called Abergwyngregyn.

Bad Pirate won the Rainforest of Reading Award. Kari-Lynn loves being in the classroom and now teaches drama in education at Brock University. She lives in St. Catharines, Ontario.
