Lorne Tepperman is a Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Toronto. His current area of research in includes family, and more specifically how problem gambling affects family relations. Patrizia Albanese is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology atRyerson University. Her current area of research includes Canadian families, family policies, and children and childcare. The late James Curtis was a Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Waterloo. His primary scholarly interests included social inequality, associational andpolitical behaviour, the sociology of knowledge, and the sociology of physical activity and sport.

Patrizia Albanese

Patrizia Albanese is a professor at Ryerson University and past-president of the Canadian Sociology Association. She is co-author of Youth & Society (2011) and More Than It Seems (2010); author of Children in Canada Today (2016) and Child Poverty in Canada (2010); and co-editor of Sociology (2016). She has done research on child care in Canada and youth in CAF families.
