Among Canadian and American elite cartoonists like Terry Mosher (Aislin, Montreal Gazette), or Dan Murphy of the Vancouver Province, or Tony Jenkins of the Globe and Mail, or Nick Anderson (Pulitzer Prize) of the Houston Chronicle, de Adder is regarded as one of North America's great artists.

BRILLIANT — "Most of my career I've tried to answer the question "What is a Canadian". I've done interviews, focus groups, polls and panels but have always been left wondering. Not anymore. Michael deAdder has all the real answers and they are brilliantly funny to boot!"
— Peter Mansbridge, chief correspondent for CBC News and anchor of The National
QUICK WIT — "For years Michael de Adder has taken the pulse of Canada with his relevant, timely and pertinent observations and quick wit. The tradition continues here as Michael's unmistakable style is once again on display."

WONDERFUL — "If you study Michael DeAdder's excellent art with a practiced eye, if you marvel at his ability to "get" a caricature (bang on), if you sincerely appreciate his wit, intelligence and political intuition, and if you think he's a truly wonderful guy....you might be a Canadian cartoonist."
— Lynn Johnston
LOVE DE ADDER — "I just love Michael de Adder...what else can I say?"
— The Rt. Hon. Adrienne Clarkson, 26th Governor General (1999-2005)
